Meet the Team - James Doyle
I first dipped my toes into the wonderful world of #workplacebenefits back in 2008. My job was to rifle through old paper files and remove all the staples so that I could scan the documents on to the new, futuristic looking digital document management system! Soldiering on through the papercuts, I began to pick up on some of the information which led to my fascination with employee benefits.
My career since 2008 has seen me calculating final salary pensions, getting to grips with automatic enrolment, witnessing the rise of awareness / importance of employee wellbeing (health and financial) and most recently, the shift in attitude towards realising the huge benefit of private healthcare.
I try my best to make employee benefits engaging and fun (yes, even pensions!). Long gone are the days of stuffy suits and boring lectures! I hope I succeed in conveying this message to my clients and their employees.
My philosophy when it comes to how I service my clients is a simple one…keep it simple! Governments, regulators, and legislation over the years has made it difficult for employers to easily understand, implement and manage their benefits. I seem to have a knack for explaining things in a simplistic manner, which is what most people want!
On a personal level, I have 4 children (all girls, aged between 10 and 15!) and a beautiful fiancée. Between work and family life, my spare time can be limited. However, when I do get the chance, I am a keen rocker! I go to as many music gigs as I can. If you go to gig and see someone, beer in hand and dad dancing because he still thinks he’s cool, it might just be me!
